NOFX have premiered the music video for their new Christmas tune, “Xmas Has Been X’ed.” The  song comes from the group’s “double A side” Holiday single, which will be available digitally on Christmas Day, with a physical copy shipping in January. The video was filmed Saturday, December 15th in San Francisco and Walnut Creek, CA. In the day, the boys donned Santa garb and attended Santacon in San Francisco. They then went on to play a benefit fundraiser show for Tony Sly‘s family at the Vice Ultra Lounge in Walnut Creek. The show was a great time, albeit under sad pretenses. I was lucky enough to obtain tickets and attend the show with a bunch of friends. More videos and pics from that evening coming soon. Stay tuned!

Merry Christmas everyone!

Teenage Bottlerocket play their short song, “Bottlerocket” at Ace of Spades in Sacramento, CA on 12/10/12 while opening up for NOFX.

Hot Buttered Rum are keeping busy on Fall tour right now, but they are getting ready to settle in for three intimate, year-ending performances at San Francisco’s Brick and Mortar December 29 – 31. The band will perform with original band member Zac Matthews returning on mandolin as a special guest on Dec. 30 to perform songs from the band’s early days in what they refer to as a 100-year career retrospective. On New Year’s Eve, the band will present a masquerade ball with an extended show, lasting until 3 a.m. Special opening acts are scheduled for each night.

The band’s newest studio album produced by Steve Berlin is slated for release early in 2013. Live In The Sierra was also recently released on CD and digital download Oct. 16, featuring live versions of both new songs and some of the band’s old favorites. You can find copies of Live In The Sierra in the Hot Buttered Rum online merch store, here.

The Mobil Station is an anomaly. It’s definitely one of the most unique music venues in the country and absolutely one of my favorites. Yes, it’s a gas station in Lee Vining, CA, which is a town of a few hundred people, but it also has an incredible restaurant and music events that bring together the entire far-reaching community. Throughout the past eight years The Trespassers have played at The Mobil Mart at least 20 times, most recently on August 16, 2012. Darin Limvere filmed parts of that evening and produced a film of this track, one of Bronco’s more recent originals. “It’s Snowin’, I’m Cryin” tells a fantastical story of a man losing his love and then losing his life. Thanks, Darin, for sharing your talent with us!

While the track is over sixteen minutes on the record, it’s been trimmed to only four and a half minutes in the official clip. Check it out below:

Green Day has released the video for their The Clash inspired song “Kill The DJ,” which will be released on their upcoming album ¡Uno!. The video is pretty random as it finds the trio riding motorcycles through the desert and hanging out with some sweaty ravers. Then, things get kind of violent and finally everyone gets back to dancing. Enjoy!
