Hot Buttered Rum are keeping busy on Fall tour right now, but they are getting ready to settle in for three intimate, year-ending performances at San Francisco’s Brick and Mortar December 29 – 31. The band will perform with original band member Zac Matthews returning on mandolin as a special guest on Dec. 30 to perform songs from the band’s early days in what they refer to as a 100-year career retrospective. On New Year’s Eve, the band will present a masquerade ball with an extended show, lasting until 3 a.m. Special opening acts are scheduled for each night.

The band’s newest studio album produced by Steve Berlin is slated for release early in 2013. Live In The Sierra was also recently released on CD and digital download Oct. 16, featuring live versions of both new songs and some of the band’s old favorites. You can find copies of Live In The Sierra in the Hot Buttered Rum online merch store, here.

The Mobil Station is an anomaly. It’s definitely one of the most unique music venues in the country and absolutely one of my favorites. Yes, it’s a gas station in Lee Vining, CA, which is a town of a few hundred people, but it also has an incredible restaurant and music events that bring together the entire far-reaching community. Throughout the past eight years The Trespassers have played at The Mobil Mart at least 20 times, most recently on August 16, 2012. Darin Limvere filmed parts of that evening and produced a film of this track, one of Bronco’s more recent originals. “It’s Snowin’, I’m Cryin” tells a fantastical story of a man losing his love and then losing his life. Thanks, Darin, for sharing your talent with us!

Neil Young and Crazy Horse hit the road in their new video for “Twisted Road,” off of their upcoming album, Psychedelic Pill. Old buses, trucks, and RVs are featured in the video; but the real love is definitely for Bob Dylan, Roy Orbison, and the Grateful Dead. Old footage of the musicians are peppered throughout the video, which adds a wonderful sense of nostalgia and admiration.

Furthur will cap off 2012 with another New Year’s Eve run at San Francisco’s Bill Graham Civic Auditorium on December 29 – 31. Get your tickets here. It’s going to be an awesome show!!

If you are a Green Day fan then you probably heard about them taking the stage at New York City’s Irving Plaza to deliver a career spanning 40-song set last month. Well, now you can check out the last 20-odd minutes of the concert. The footage kicks off with Dookie‘s, “Burnout.” Then, the band cruised through other fan favorites like “Hitchin’ a Ride,” “Letterbomb,” “She,” and finally the awesome “American Idiot” as the closer. Enjoy!

Neil Young & Crazy Horse have released the 17-minute video for “Ramada Inn”, from their new album Psychedelic Pill out October 30 on CD and November 23 on triple vinyl. Watch the full clip below. As announced on JamBase, a full fidelity version of the album will be released on Blu-ray and will include all the videos.
