Death Cab For Cutie Add 2012 tour dates

Death Cab For Cutie visited the Brooklyn Museum – “one of the more unique rooms we’ve played” – to film a Live From the Artist Den session in cooperation with SPIN magazine. Check out the performance of “You Are a Tourist” below, and stream a longer preview on Hulu, ahead of the episode’s national television premiere on February 17th, 2012.

Death Cab also expanded upon their previously announced tour dates, with extra shows added in Brooklyn and Oakland. Tickets are available for all but the Chicago date, which go on sale this Saturday.

Death Cab For Cutie will tour North America in 2012.

Death Cab for Cutie has announced 2012 North American tour dates, with Youth Lagoon hopping on to support the latter half of the tour. This tour truly looks like an attempt to do something special with his road time: Death Cab will be joined by the Magik*Magik Orchestra (who did the string arrangements on their latest Grammy-nominated album, Codes and Keys) to play intimate shows in historic theaters, opera houses and churches around the country. They’ll also join Austin City Limits lore in early May.

Presale tickets will be offered to members of the official DCFC fan club on 1/20/12 at 12pm local venue time. Tickets open up to the public a week later on January 27th. Either group will be able to add a tour-exclusive merch bundle to their ticket order. DCFC Enhanced Merch Bundle includes:
