Death Cab For Cutie Add 2012 tour dates

Death Cab For Cutie visited the Brooklyn Museum – “one of the more unique rooms we’ve played” – to film a Live From the Artist Den session in cooperation with SPIN magazine. Check out the performance of “You Are a Tourist” below, and stream a longer preview on Hulu, ahead of the episode’s national television premiere on February 17th, 2012.

Death Cab also expanded upon their previously announced tour dates, with extra shows added in Brooklyn and Oakland. Tickets are available for all but the Chicago date, which go on sale this Saturday.

Die Antwoord release a new video for "I Fink U Freeky"

Die Antwoord just released the new video for “I Fink U Freeky,” a week ahead of the release of TEN$ION on February 7th, 2012. By now, Die Antwoord videos should come with a big neon sign that says “WARNING! Major freaky steez ahead!!,” because if you expected anything other than rats crawling around on Yolandi Visser’s body while she raps about how freeky U R, you don’t know what this group’s all about. Which is to say: this is probably NSFW, and definitely not safe for the easily squeamed.

Following their album’s Feb. 7th release date, they’ll jump out on a month-long North American tour. That includes an appearance at Noise Pop 2012 in San Francisco, where we picked them as our Wednesday show of choice in our daily guide to the festival.

Watch the new Nada Surf video for "When I Was Young"

This morning, Nada Surf premiered the video for “When I Was Young,” the first single from their latest LP, The Stars Are Different to Astronomy. To promote the release, which dropped last week on Barsuk Records, they’ve planned a free show at Amoeba records in Hollywood (tonight), an appearance on Jimmy Fallon (also tonight) and a Spring tour (see below).
