Being a Beatles fan for most of my life I really enjoyed this video when it was shared with me by a friend on Facebook. It’s great since you get to hear a lost guitar solo by George Harrison on his song, “Here Comes The Sun” from the Beatles’ Abbey Road album. In the video we see Dhani Harrison, the son of the late guitarist, as he sits in a recording studio (presumably at Abbey Road) with George Martin, the Beatles’ legendary producer, and Martin’s son Giles. Together, they play with the mix of “Here Comes the Sun,” when the moment of discovery happens. The three of them stumble upon the long lost guitar solo that never made the final cut of the album. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

Band of Horses – “The Funeral” with Danny MacAskill April 2009

As everyone already knows, I am into music. I do like other things though, and one of these things is biking. Every year around Spring I start going through YouTube to watch all the new biking videos to get me psyched for the biking season. Sometimes I happen to come across some pretty good music in these videos too. For instance, in this video I got hooked on Band of Horses‘, “The Funeral.”
Filmed in and around Edinburgh, Scotland by Dave Sowerby, this video of Inspired Bicycles team rider Danny MacAskill features some the best riding I’ve ever seen. There’s some awesome riding, but also some of the most technically difficult and imaginative lines you will ever see. Without a doubt, this video pushes the envelope of what is perceived as possible on a bike.
Enjoy the music and the riding!

I got hooked on Infected Mushroom several years ago while in college and have been listening to them ever since. Comprised of Amit “Duvdev” Duvdevani and Erez Eisen, Infected Mushroom has recently spent about two and a half years putting together their eighth studio full-length release, Army of Mushrooms. It seems their new album is going to be a little bit of a dip into Dubstep as you can tell from this single, “U R So F****d.” You can check it out in this video as the duo wrestle with Argentinean wrestlers Lilian Pavone and Norma Álvarez. They are so f****d!

EOTO
“With no two shows alike, fans have come to expect the unexpected. Changes in mood, energy, and inspiration are reflected—in real-time—by rhythmic and melodic shifts in the music as EOTO makes their way through a plethora of tools and techniques. The duo moves effortlessly from choppy dubstep to whip-smart, four-on-the-floor house to psychedelic trip-hop. It’s a dance marathon, but everyone’s in it together.
MATERIALIZED
Materialized is an ongoing musical collaboration built on the core of a lifelong friendship between Grammy Award winning keyboardist (Mighty) Dave Pellicciaro and drummer Dale Fanning.
Based in Oakland, CA the band builds their energized sound on big beats and sonic scapes. To keep the music constantly growing they engage a revolving cast of talent for their live shows ranging from a powerhouse two-man match to trios, full band with a horn section, singers, video and dancers including their main associate, Cuban-born bassist Carlitos Del Puerto (Bruce Springsteen, Herbie Hancock).
Materialized has released their EP CD “Songs About Music” and are dropping three fresh singles on Feb 1st. Check these high octane adventures on iTunes, CD Baby, Spotify and Pandora.
Love In The Circus
Love in the Circus features unique and seductive melodies that combine and blur the lines of electronica, rock, jazz and blues with sultry, edgy, museful hooks.
The group was formed by singer/bassist Leanna Rachel and producer/guitarist Chris Brickler. Curtis Cunningham joined the group on drums, Eric Hargett on keys/saxophone and Cha Chi on percussion/synths. The High Priestess and Leah Zeger add beautiful textures on the harp and violin, respectively.

Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers – “Don’t Come Around Here No More”
Posted: February 10, 2012 in VideosTags: Alice, and, Around, Come, Dave, Don't, Eurythmics, Heatbreakers, Here, In, More, Nicks, No, of, Petty, Stevie, Stewart, The, Tom, Wonderland
Definitely an iconic video from the 80’s, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers‘ “Don’t Come Around Here No More” is definitely memorable right down to the end when everyone eats Alice of Wonderland as a cake. Get ready to go on a little trip with this video.
An interesting piece of music video trivia:
Who is that guy sitting on top of the toadstool smoking a hookah and playing sitar? That is none other than Dave Stewart of the Eurythmics, who first wrote the song for Stevie Nicks but finished it with Tom Petty.
Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Opens Archives To Public
Posted: February 8, 2012 in NewsTags: and, Andy, archives, Aretha, Cleveland, College, Community, Cuyahoga, Fame, Franklin, Hall, Leach, libraries, Madonna, of, OH, Rock, Roll, Rolling, Stones
In case you have not heard, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame recently opened the doors to its libraries and archives located in a new four-story, $12 million building on Cuyahoga Community College in Cleveland, OH. The collection, catalogued over the last few years, includes more than 3,500 books, 1,400 audio recordings, photos, albums and covers, oral histories, scrap books, and 270 videos. A few of these music artifacts include personal letters from Madonna and Aretha Franklin and a 1981-82 video of the Rolling Stones tour. Library and archive Director, Andy Leach, has stated that they will be adding thousands more books and recordings and hundreds of videos will be added as previously stored items and new donations are catalogued. Leach went on to state the following:
“We hope to serve music scholars, teachers, students and the general public. We hope to see all of them here.”
Fans and scholars will not be able to check out items from the library or the archives, but anyone can use the library reading room to browse through books, listen to audio recordings and watch videos. A smaller archives reading room allows supervised access to certain cherished items.
Now is the time to go and enjoy the new Rock and Roll Hall of Fame libraries and archives as they were opened to the public with very little fanfare. They will most certainly be more crowded after April 9th when the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame hold their actual grand opening. It should be a grand affair!
